As hosts, we must consider the safety of all patrons as well as our environment.

Cottage Views maintains a policy of 2 night minimum, 4 night maximum, stay.  We will be following a routine of having two to three days pass between guest visits per specific room, and we will be closed every Tuesday.  To minimize the handling of credit cards and social interaction we will be taking full payment in advance.

Thank you for considering Cottage Views as your Finger Lakes get-away destination.  We live at the Inn full time and we welcome you to our home. Please note that we are a smoke free environment, and heavy smokers may wish to seek alternate accommodations. Failure to abide by smoking rules may be subject to severe cleaning fees to cover the relocation of future guests.

For the comfort of all guests, we do not accommodate children or pets.

Due to county and state requirements we are unable to host dinner parties, and all kitchen related activities (such as cooking, making coffee or tea) are restricted to breakfast time and must be conducted by staff only.  Guests who do not observe these policies may be assessed for damages and will be charged accordingly.

As many of the local eateries are seasonal, dinner reservations are recommended.  View our dining page for recommendations to some of our favorite places.

Incense, candles, or any other open flame is strictly forbidden.

Our home was originally built in 1800.  Please be kind to the plumbing and do not flush objects in toilets.

Read below a message from the Seneca Lake Wine Trail about the changes at the local wineries and eateries along the trail.

To our valued fans and visitors,
Tasting rooms on Seneca Lake will be different than you’re used to.
A few of the changes you are most likely to see at the local wineries:
  1. Many wine tastings will be by appointment only, so please call ahead or visit their websites
  2. Most wine tastings are now conducted at tables and many wineries do not have standing room
  3. There will be restrictions on the size of groups, buses, and limos (at this time 6 people maximum is the standard)
A couple of tips that will help you plan your next trip:
First – Know before you go. As you get closer to your visit, please check the winery listings on the Seneca Wine Trail website.  A few quick clicks and a little bit of reading will help you avoid disappointment.
Second – Be flexible, be understanding, and be kind as we all adjust to new ways of doing business.
Finally, if we at the Trail Office can answer any questions or help you with trip planning, please reach out. Our phone lines are open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm: 877-536-2717. You can also send us an email: info@senecalakewine.com.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at the Seneca Lake Wine Trail
