Who is this guy?         MACimino.jpg (63781 bytes)

Journalist Michael A. Cimino, a former radio personality, musician, current Wine Captain with the Sommelier Society of America, consultant, and self-proclaimed Rock Musicologist, jokingly refers to himself as a guy who "never studied anything that will make money!"

Over 200 of his articles have been published in the New York Review of Records, the Germ, and No Matter What - the Official Badfinger Fanzine.  He has been a regular contributor to London's Rock Society magazine since January of 2002.

His own publication, Cottage Views Classic Rock News, has been circulating around the globe for over eight years, and is read by music enthusiasts, musicians, record company executives, radio personalities, and more.

Cottage Views began life after No Matter What went under.  Wishing to continue writing about Badfinger and other Rockers that rarely get press,  Mr. Cimino wrote to the people who had joined the Badfinger Network (a grassroots group of people that would communicate Badfinger news with each other) asking if anyone would be interested in continuing some kind of newsletter.  With less than one dozen names on his original mailing list, Mr. Cimino kept the fire alive and now ships Cottage Views all over the planet to hundreds!

Mr. Cimino's current projects include several books, including Badfinger and Beyond - the Authorized Biography of Joey Molland, Casual Conversations - A Behind the Scenes look at Rock 'n' Roll on the Road, and the Wait Persons Guide to Understanding Fine Wines.

His ethic is not to be a music critic, but to educate the public about quality music that they may not have heard about otherwise.  Cottage Views' gears itself towards hard news on current recordings from the stars of the Golden Era of Rock.

Subscriptions to Cottage Views can be purchased by sending check, or money order, for $19.95 to Cottage Views, P.O. Box 1054, Pearl River, NY  10965.  All checks must be made payable to M. Cimino.
